The Role:

The Lulworth Estate is looking for hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to work with our busy Waste Management team.

This is a physical, outdoor job and successful applicants should have total reliability, must be passionate in their work, with excellent attention to detail, high standards and a positive, can-do attitude.

Due to the nature of the job, driving our waste management truck is essential. Therefore, for insurance purposes, applicants must be 25 years old or over and must hold a full driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that all waste, glass and recycling bins are regularly checked, moved when full and replaced with an empty bin
  • Cleaning and maintaining of all bins as well as their storage bays/locations and reporting of any issues
  • Ensuring that recycling is managed in accordance with Estate requirements
  • Litter picking across the Estate
  • Reporting any non-service of Contractors
  • Moving or collecting waste other than bins as and when requested by the Head of Car Parks
  • Representing the Estate by being smartly presented and in uniform at all times
  • Maintaining the areas and vehicles within which you work to a high standard, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times
  • Cleaning, maintaining and organising the waste storage yard
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Essential - A full UK driving licence
  • Essential - Experience of managing and organising your time
  • Essential - Knowledge or experience of a customer service environment
  • Essential - Highly efficient with excellent attention to detail
  • Essential - Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Essential - Good physical stamina and strength
  • Essential - Excellent timekeeping
  • Essential - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Essential - A strong work ethic, taking pride in delivering excellent service
  • Essential - A positive, can-do attitude
  • Desirable - Good standard of GCSE’s grades 4-9 / A*-C (or equivalent) inclusive of English and Maths
  • Desirable - Related experience within waste management
  • Desirable - Familiarity with waste management processes and equipment
