Learning Assistant
Are you passionate about nature and the stories told by ancient rocks? Do you have the spark to inspire a living classroom of young people on the shores of Lulworth Cove or bring the history of a 17th-century castle to life?
Home to the world-famous Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle, Lulworth Estate is a breathtaking blend of natural beauty, rich heritage, and unforgettable experiences. As one of the UK’s most iconic destinations, we welcome over one million visitors annually to explore our landscapes, discover our stories, and connect with nature.
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and organised Learning Assistant to join our team. This isn’t your typical desk job. One day you might be leading a geology session at Durdle Door, and the next, you could be facilitating a nature workshop in our heath and forest habitats or hosting a historical investigation at Lulworth Castle.
As part of our dedicated team, you will help deliver a “classroom without walls,” providing meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect visitors of all ages to this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site, SSSI and English Heritage Castle.
Supporting the Learning Producer in the delivery and development of high-quality educational programs, you will be the face of Lulworth for schools, youth groups, and adult learners, ensuring every visitor leaves with a deeper connection to our environment and heritage.
Who You Are:
– A Natural Communicator: You can hold the attention of 30 energetic primary students or lead an insightful tour for an adult interest group with equal confidence.
– Outdoor Enthusiast: You aren’t afraid of a bit of Dorset weather! You are at home in the forest, on the heath, or by the sea.
– Educator: You have a track record of or passion for delivering learning—whether in a formal school setting, a museum, or an outdoor centre.
– Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a team environment and are ready to muck in with the wider Estate team to provide a world-class visitor experience.
Working here means joining a legacy. We don’t just provide tours; we create memories that last a lifetime. You will be supported by an expert team in one of the most beautiful offices in the world.
Our goal is to make a difference. We want every person who visits Lulworth to feel inspired, informed, and connected to the land. If you share that vision, we want to hear from you. Please apply with CV and covering letter to recruitment@lulworth.com.
