The Role:
You will be working at one of the most popular locations along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast in Dorset, ensuring visitors to the site have a safe and enjoyable visit, and adhere to the countryside code.
Working mainly outdoors, you will have a passion for conservation and people, you will need to have good communication skills, be level-headed in various situations, have a love for the natural environment, a good level of physical fitness and ideally a good knowledge of the local area including flora, fauna, geology and history.
No day is ever the same, and with the site attracting approximately 1m visitors annually, you will get a breadth of experience whilst working here. One day you may be educating visitors about local wildlife, and then another day you may be assisting the coastguard or RNLI.
You will be working within a small friendly team but also be required to work independently and a full induction/training period will be undertaken.
The roles include a mixture of coastal warden, beach cleaning, conservation and maintenance, split between the two sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and may require early starts and at least one regular weekend day.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Desirable; Outdoor First Aid, Sit-in ATV ticket. Training can be given as required.
