Charity Events, Runs & Walks
We receive many requests for races and walks to start, finish or rest at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
If you would like to make an application for an event on the Estate, please contact events@lulworth.com. Here are some things to consider when applying:
Please put your request in as early as possible so that the Estate can consider and respond to your application. As a tourist related business, due to certain operational commitments, there are times/dates during the year that we are unable to accommodate events.
If it is for charity please advise us when you submit your request. The Lulworth Estate has nominated charities which it supports.
Please submit a route plan with your request – these should use existing Public Rights of Way. Where livestock is present, consideration must be given to the movement of people through such areas so as not to disturb the natural grazing behaviour of the animals.
Depending on the location of your activity the event organiser must produce any necessary licences relating to areas with planning designations such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)’s Scheduled Ancient Monument(SAM)’s.
Any permission to use the Estate will require a signed Agreement for which we will require suitable evidence that a risk assessment has been undertaken and adequate insurance put in place.
Please provide details of any facilities required such as: site areas and locations, marquees, car parking, toilet provision and first aid cover. These need to be suitable and commensurate to each individual event.
Please be aware there may be a charge for the use of the estate or for the cost of administration in relation to your event.
