The Role:
Nestled within the stunning Lulworth Estate, The Weld Arms is a welcoming country pub with newly opened, beautifully appointed boutique bedrooms. Renowned for our warm hospitality, seasonal menus and exceptional guest experiences.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of our busy gastro pub and help deliver an outstanding experience for every guest.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, in line with the needs of the business.
As Front of House Supervisor, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the pub, leading by example to ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service. You will oversee shifts, support and motivate the front of house team, and help maintain the high standards that The Weld Arms is known for. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking to develop their leadership skills within one of Dorset’s most iconic estates.
You’ll be a confident, approachable and organised hospitality professional with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
You’ll have:
• Previous experience in a supervisory role or as an experienced front of house team member ready to take the next step.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A passion for food, drink and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to lead by example.
• Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Supervise the day-to-day front of house operation, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead by example, delivering warm, professional and attentive hospitality.
- Support, motivate and coach the front of house team during service.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service, presentation and cleanliness throughout the venue.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and oversee shifts in the absence of senior management.
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly, professionally and confidently.
- Support with staff training and the induction of new team members.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, health & safety and company procedures.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver seamless food and beverage service.
- Promote our food and drinks offering with enthusiasm, showcasing estate-reared and locally sourced produce.
