Careers

The Role:

Nestled within the stunning Lulworth Estate, The Weld Arms is a welcoming country pub with newly opened, beautifully appointed boutique bedrooms, renowned for our warm hospitality, seasonal menus and exceptional guest experiences.

We are looking for a passionate and talented Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver an outstanding breakfast experience for our overnight guests and local visitors.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, between 7:30am and 4:00pm. The role includes weekend and bank holiday working, in line with the needs of the business.

As our Breakfast Chef, you will play a key role in creating a memorable start to the day for our guests. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients—including estate-reared and locally sourced produce—you will prepare and present breakfast dishes to an exceptional standard while maintaining a calm, organised and efficient kitchen.

About You
You’ll be a reliable, enthusiastic chef who enjoys working in a quality-led hospitality environment.
You’ll have:
• Previous experience in a chef or breakfast chef role.
• A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food and an appreciation for quality, locally sourced ingredients.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently during busy service.
• A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude.
• A commitment to consistently high standards of food quality and guest service.

What We Offer
In return, you’ll become part of a friendly, supportive team within one of Dorset’s most iconic estates and enjoy:
• A competitive salary between £28,000 and £30,000 per annum dependent on experience.
• Employee discounts across the Lulworth Estate.
• Ongoing training and opportunities for career development.
• The opportunity to work with exceptional ingredients in a kitchen that values quality and provenance.
• A beautiful countryside working environment within a respected hospitality business.
• A welcoming, professional team culture where your contribution is valued.

If you’re passionate about creating exceptional food from outstanding local ingredients and would like to be part of a team that takes pride in delivering memorable hospitality, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with CV and covering letter to recruitment@lulworth.com.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a high-quality breakfast menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Showcase the finest estate-reared and locally sourced produce through beautifully prepared and presented dishes.
  • Ensure every plate is delivered with consistency, care and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and organise the kitchen for breakfast service, supporting a seamless transition into lunch preparation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and ensure effective stock rotation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, kitchen team and front of house colleagues to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Support the wider kitchen operation with food preparation and daily service as required.
  • Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.
