We’re opening a brand-new artisan coffee shop at Lulworth Cove, serving locally inspired coffee, fresh bagels, and seasonal treats. As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing day-to-day operations, and supporting the seasonal ice cream parlour during peak months. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about quality, service, and building a local, artisan-focused brand.
Who We’re Looking For:
– Experienced in hospitality, ideally with café, coffee, or artisan food experience
– Strong leadership and organisational skills, able to manage teams and multiple outlets
– Passionate about delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service
– Flexible and adaptable to seasonal changes and varying customer volumes
– Knowledge of food hygiene, H&S compliance, and stock management
– Enthusiastic about working in a unique, high-profile location on the Jurassic Coast
This is a full time, permanent role with a competitive salary between £27,000 and £29,000 per annum dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in running a busy artisan coffee shop, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high product quality
- Order and manage stock for both the coffee shop and seasonal ice cream parlour
- Recruit, train, and motivate team members to ensure exceptional performance
- Create staff rotas, manage scheduling, and oversee seasonal staffing for the ice cream parlour
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, food hygiene, and operational procedures
- Support in administrative tasks and reporting
