Originally built as a hunting lodge for visiting aristocracy and royalty, Lulworth Castle has for centuries been the family seat of the Weld Family, the current owners of the Lulworth Estate. Damaged by fire in 1929, the castle has been lovingly restored and is now a premier tourist attraction and stunning events venue. The wider Lulworth Estate also encompasses Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and a beautiful section of the Jurassic Coast.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our passionate team as a Tearoom Supervisor, taking on the day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the Castle Tearoom, leading by example to deliver excellent customer service, maintain high standards of presentation and food safety, and support efficient, profitable operations.
35 hours per week, worked over 5 days out of 7 (Sunday–Friday, rota basis, no Saturdays).

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations and support the smooth running of the tearoom
- Forecast demand and manage stock effectively, considering weather, visitor numbers, and seasonal trends
- Deliver consistently high-quality food and drink, including barista-made hot drinks
- Train, guide, and motivate team members
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
- Ensure high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and presentation at all times
- Work closely with the Castle & Events Manager and Hospitality Operations Manager to maximise profitability and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Barista experience
- Experience working in a food service or hospitality environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene requirements
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties
- Food Hygiene Level 2 - Desirable
- First Aid qualification - Desirable
